Woolworths Yarrawonga - direct to boot

Kennedy Builders constructed the Direct to boot facility at Woolworths in Yarrawonga. The build involved demolishing a residence on the site and constructing the facility.  The build was completed in two stages – Carpark and Building. Kennedy Builders were proud to be involved in this project as it will have a positive impact on our community & the accessibility to our local Supermarket.

Zest Living Community Centre

Kennedy Builders successfully tendered for the Zest Lifestyle Retirement Village project in late 2021 and were awarded the tender in early 2022, commencing the build soon after. Becoming the largest commercial project Kennedy Builders has been involved in working alongside the client and architects to reach an impressive result.
The build consisted of a Clubhouse with communal dining, cooking facilities, private dining area, bar area, heated indoor swimming pool, theatre, gymnasium, bowling green, BBQ area, toilet, and shower facilities.

Kennedy Builders are currently constructing 29 transportable homes in stage 1 for residents with plans for 155 houses within the Village once completed.

Finley Regional Care & Medical Centre

Over the past 5 years Kennedy Builders have constructed over sixteen homes in the Alumuna Lifestyle Village, with plans for a further fifty homes.

All eight designs of the two and three-bedroom homes were designed by Rob Pickett Design.  Residents make their own selections, making each home unique.  They all have smart design elements like non-slip floors, no steps throughout the home and extra wide passageways and doors.

Kennedy Builders were approached in 2021 to tender for the construction of a Medical Centre on the grounds of Finley Regional Care, after the great working relationship formed with the ongoing construction of units for Finley Regional Care, Alumuna Lifestyle Village.

The Finley Medical Centre was completed in 2022 and first opened for patients in January 2023.  The Centre is an impressive building with spacious reception, three waiting areas, 7 consulting suites/treatment rooms, 2 offices, staff room, male & female and accessible toilet facilities and alfresco area.

Coleambally Sports Precinct

The Coleambally Sports Precinct was built by Kennedy Builders in 2020 – 2021. The build took longer than originally tendered due to being completed through COVID19.  Border closures made it difficult travelling to the site in 2020.

The project consists of the construction of AFL changerooms and toilet block, construction of gym, alterations and additions to existing toilet, amenities building and alterations and additions to existing clubhouse.

Urana Aquatic Centre

Built on the banks of Lake Urana, the Urana Aquatic Centre was built by Kennedy Builders in 2020. The building houses a gym, meeting room, catering kitchen, amenities, and function room for up to 100 people.  Each room has spectacular views of the lake.

Arundel Street, Benalla

Kennedy Builders demolished the existing shed at Arundel Street Sports Facility in Benalla and constructed a new sports facility.  The facility consists of clubrooms, kitchen facilities, male & female changerooms & toilets.
This was the first project Kennedy Builders had worked with the Benalla Rural City Council.  The project ran smoothly through COVID19 in 2020 and was delivered on time and within budget.

Rutherglen Police Station

This project involved demolition of the old Police Station and Construction of a new 16-hour Victoria Police Station on the existing site at Rutherglen. The build included specialist trades & installations, such as the holding cell which was installed at the start of the build & the station was built around it.  Built across several different ground levels on a steel frame the Police Station includes a sally port and cell, multiple interview rooms along with a large office, kitchen, and male & female staff amenities.  The build also included bullet proof walls, specialist glazing & communication services.

Police were operating out of a temporary Police Station in a shop in the main street of Rutherglen whilst the build was happening so were very happy when their new Police Station was completed in early January 2019.

Yarrawonga Toyota

Kennedy Builders were awarded the tender to complete the construction of the new premises for Yarrawonga Toyota. With a total of 1030 square-metres under roof and the entirety of the 6000 square-metre site accounted for, this project was truly of impressive magnitude.

Much of this building is either workshop or show room, at 410 and 330 square-metres respectively. The building consists of offices, an employee lunchroom, customer coffee lounge and bathroom facilities. The showroom is bathed in natural light thanks to the amount of glazing in the front of the building, and the fully tiled floor. Combined with the suspended ceiling height of 4.2 metres, this gives the show room a very open and welcoming feel.

The outside is just as impressive with a vast amount of the cladding being Aluco Bond or Scyon Matrix.  The overall height of the building is 6.4 metres.

Sacred Heart Primary School Yarrawonga

Kennedy Builders constructed a 1000 square-metre, multipurpose, flexible learning facility as an extension of the Library at Sacred Heart Primary.

This learning centre caters for the Year 5 and Year 6 children, and with its open plan design it is a cutting-edge facility to engage with the future of our community. Using retractable walls and brilliant architecture this centre allows for both large group learning and smaller-group areas.

Separated by a 300mm step in floor level, the 2 rooms are joined by an access ramp to allow for total access regardless of mobility. The new facility has 2 raised ceiling areas, lined with windows to allow a large amount of natural light into the rooms.

The new building blends seamlessly into the contemporary design of the school. Despite being built during school terms, construction took place with no disruption to classes and minimal disruption to the school day.
